ECONOMYNEXT - Sri Lanka will recall expressions of interest to set up a ferry service between Colombo port and Tuticorin in India, Information Minister Gayantha Karunathilake said.
Expression of interest had been called earlier, but there was insufficient interest.
Port Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe had decided to recall EOIs for the ferry service.
The cabinet of ministers had approved the proposal. In 2011 a ferry service was started by Flemingo Liners but it did not continue. (Colombo/Oct04/2017)
